🕯️ Just started a new candle? Read this first.
A little care goes a long way in how beautifully (and cleanly) your candle burns ✨Here’s how to get the most out of every burn:
✂️ Trim your wick to ~¼” before every burn.
This is the most important step. A trimmed wick prevents soot, keeps the flame steady, and helps your candle burn cleaner and longer.
🔥 Let it burn long enough.
Aim for 2–4 hours, or until the wax melts across the surface. This helps prevent tunnelling. The good news? Beeswax is extra forgiving and often evens itself out over time.
⏳ But don’t burn too long.
Try not to go past 4 hours in one sitting. Your candle will last longer, the scent won’t over-release, and the vessel stays safe.
✨ Pro tip: If you see smoke or soot, your wick likely needs a trim — a quick snip makes all the difference. Bonus points for a cute wick trimmer or snuffer left out as a reminder.
